Bachelor of Science in Social Science

The undergraduate program in Social Science Education offers a Bachelors degree leading to Class A teaching license. A major emphasis is a teacher certification for individuals seeking to teach in public school settings who will foster learning that is grounded in active inquiry and requires critical thinking and problem solving.

Undergraduate Non-Certification Program

Bachelor of Science in Ethnic Studies

The purpose for Ethnic Studies non-certification degree is preparing individuals who are interested in issues of diversity in education as they relate to working in human resource and equity departments, community organizations, social justice and non-profit organizations. Additionally, the Department will prepare individuals to work in culturally diverse and technologically advanced environments, human rights, feminism, community and international development, the United Nations, and other organizations.
