Biography

Dr. Lydia Didia is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Jackson State University® and a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Mississippi. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from SUNY Brockport and her MBA and Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Jackson State University.
With more than 13 years of experience as an auditor for the Mississippi Department of Revenue and several years teaching at Penn State Harrisburg, Dr. Didia brings professional and academic expertise to her role. At JSU, she teaches undergraduate and graduate accounting courses and actively serves on college and university committees.
From 2022 through 2025, she led the Mandela Washington Program at JSU as Administrative Director, supporting the development of young African leaders. She has also shared her expertise globally through the U.S. Department of State Speaker Program in Nigeria.
Dr. Didia is engaged in professional service, including work with the International Accounting Section and the Mississippi Society of CPAs. Passionate about mentoring, she invests in the success of students and young entrepreneurs in her community.
