Pre-Alumni Council
Building a lifelong connection to Thee I Love—before graduation. Open to all Jackson State students on campus, online, and at satellite locations.
A foundation for lifelong engagement
The Pre-Alumni Council, housed in the Department of Alumni and Constituency Relations, is open to all Jackson State University students—whether enrolled on campus, online, or at satellite locations. The Council is composed of undergraduate students dedicated to enhancing the student experience and cultivating a strong foundation for lifelong alumni engagement.
The Council’s primary purpose is to foster a lasting connection to JSU prior to graduation. Members engage in student recruitment, host special events, promote the importance of philanthropy, and organize fundraising efforts to support Council initiatives. They collaborate closely with the department advisor and work in partnership with university organizations and affiliates, including the JSU Development Foundation, Inc. and the JSU National Alumni Association, Inc.
Our goal is to diversify student participation and foster student enrichment through alumni mentorships and career readiness opportunities, ensuring every student is prepared to transition from college to career with confidence and support.
