JSU Army ROTC
The Tiger Battalion — developing principled Army officers through Reserve Officers' Training Corps scholarships, leadership training, and the JSU Cadet program.
58 Years of the Tiger Battalion
JSU Army ROTC — known as the Tiger Battalion — is the Department of Military Science at Jackson State University, located in the College of Liberal Arts. Our cadets train to become commissioned officers in the United States Army, the Army Reserve, and the Army National Guard.
Through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program, cadets earn a college degree alongside leadership training, physical fitness development, and exposure to the values, ethics, and standards that define service as an Army officer.
