Broad engineering knowledge spanning both the hardware and software aspects of computing devices.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
The mission of the Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science Department is to build and sustain high quality and broad-based teaching and research programs in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science, to prepare graduates for successful professional careers, and to provide service to the community. The Department offers undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and graduate degrees in Computer Science and Engineering.
Our Computer Engineering program provides students with broad engineering knowledge that includes both the hardware and software aspects of computing devices
The Computer Engineering curriculum deals with all aspects of designing, building and programming of computer systems. The curriculum introduces students to both hardware (electronic circuits) and software (programming) of computer systems. Almost everything we use such as cell phones, automobiles, and home appliances have embedded computer chips, which makes computer engineers always in demand.
The Computer Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, (http://www.abet.org), under the commission’s General Criteria and Program Criteria for Electrical, Computer, Communications, Telecommunications(s), and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.
