What is T.E.A.C.H.?
Teacher Education And Compensation Helps
T.E.A.C.H. is a scholarship program that was developed to increase the level of education and effectiveness of early learning professionals by making the educational process more affordable, increasing wages, and reducing staff turnover rates. Scholarships are currently offered for Associate Degrees and Bachelor Degrees in Child Development and Early Childhood Education.
T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® MISSISSIPPI is a licensed program of Child Care Services Association.
The overall mission of the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education (EECE) is to prepare responsive and effective educators for working with learners of all ages, infancy through adulthood, with its major emphasis in teacher certification programs for individuals seeking to teach in public school settings. Additional responsibilities include preparing personnel to teach in private kindergarten centers, day care centers, and education programs operated by community agencies, businesses, and industries.
