Open-access computer labs for every student
TigerLab is a cluster of computer labs that are constantly undergoing evaluation and implementation for improving the resources made available to the students. These are computer labs that are opened to students of various academic disciplines to aid them in the completion and advancement of their academic studies.
Students are able to perform standard tasks such as access the world wide web, save their data to various media formats (CD-ROM, USB drive), word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation, and print education-based documentation.
TigerLab’s mission is to integrate technology with academic studies allowing students the opportunity to excel and develop skill levels competitive with others in their field of study at colleges and universities.
Administration of TigerLab is held within the Department of Academic Information Technology under the leadership of the Campus Lab Coordinator.

Three types of TigerLab facilities
TigerLab consists of the following classes of computer laboratories. Both Macs and PCs are available on campus labs throughout the entire campus.
Computer technology laboratories available to all Jackson State University students. Students and faculty are granted access of facilities by utilizing their NetID account. Tigerlab General Lab Usage Policy enforced area.
Computer technology laboratories available to all Jackson State University students. Students and faculty are granted access of facilities through use of local system profiles. Tigerlab General Lab Usage Policy enforced area.
Computer technology laboratories available to university students affiliated with the school or department the lab is hosted by. Students within school/department are granted access based upon specific usage policies.
Campus lab locations
TigerLab facilities are distributed across campus. The following labs are available to students during regular and extended hours.
Lab hours
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
All labs open during regular hours starting Monday, January 13, 2020
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
