Welcome to the Department of Business Administration! Our AACSB-accredited undergraduate degree programs include Business Administration, Economics, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management. We are a diverse community of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to creating a transformative learning environment that prepares students to reach their potential personally and professionally.

Non-business majors across campus can also choose a Business Administration and Marketing minor. All majors across campus can also choose an Economics minor.

In addition, we offer a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and a Ph.D. in Business Administration, with concentrations in Management, Economics, and Accounting.

The Business Administration program combines courses in management, marketing, economics, finance, and business law — offering students a broad knowledge of the functional areas of a company and how they connect to one another.

Our economics degree is a specialized academic program that focuses on the study of how societies allocate resources to meet their needs and wants. The curriculum covers microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, economic history, mathematics, statistics, and data analysis — developing the analytical and quantitative skills needed to understand and analyze economic phenomena.

Our business administration degree provides students with a broad understanding of the principles and practices of business management. The curriculum covers accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, organizational behavior, economics, statistics, and business law — preparing students to understand the broader business environment.

Our marketing degree provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to create, promote, and distribute products and services in today's global marketplace. The curriculum covers marketing research, consumer behavior, branding, advertising, public relations, digital marketing, statistics, economics, and business law.

Supply Chain Management
Our supply chain management degree provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to manage the flow of goods and services from the point of origin to the point of consumption. The curriculum covers logistics and supply chain management, operations management, procurement, transportation, inventory management, statistics, economics, and business law.

Three minors open to all JSU students

Non-business majors can pursue the Business Administration and Marketing minors. The Economics minor is open to all majors across campus.
