Student Life Overview
The JSU Student Outcomes is the Department of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences Student Outcomes: We have produced academic doctors, university presidents, inventors, Educators, Medical Doctors, Professors, and our students are student athletes too, very good ones, etc.
We do this by helping students access educational and professional opportunities, like internships, undergraduate summer research in the mathematical and statistical sciences opportunities, fellowships and interdisciplinary learning.
Undergraduate
Join us for an enlightening series of seminars designed to enrich your academic journey and pave the way for your future career. The Undergraduate Math Seminar offers a broad array of sessions. In some seminars we will explore various areas of mathematics, from theoretical concepts to practical applications, and discover the exciting world of math research. Other seminars will enhance your professional toolkit by helping you prepare for internships, graduate school, or a future career. Whether you are an undergraduate department major seeking to deepen your knowledge or simply someone with a keen interest in learning, you are welcome to attend.
A Mathematics Education That Solves Real Problems
The program offers a thorough and in-depth mathematics education that teaches you how to utilize math to solve some of the most challenging issues in the world.

To solve problems and comprehend natural and artificial phenomena, you will learn to collaborate with experts from various fields, such as the physical sciences, engineering, and business. You will get the chance to participate in faculty-mentored research as an undergraduate math student in a variety of topics, such as the best ways for students to study mathematics or purely mathematical issues.
“Challenging Minds, Changing Lives.”

Your time will be spent collecting and analyzing data or running experiments on state-of-the-art equipment – not solely sitting at desks.
