Students must present a picture ID to receive packages.

Campus Mailbox Assignments

Campus mailboxes are assigned after the student has received a University Housing assignment and has completed registration, usually indicated by possession of an official Jackson State University Student.

Identification Card

The student must bring both the housing assignment and JSU ID to Tiger Mail to receive their mailbox number assignment. The student mailbox fee is available at $38.00 per semester and $38.00 for the entire summer.

Key Boxes

Key Boxes are available on a first-come, first served basis. A key deposit is not required. However, there is a $25 charge for all replacement keys. This fee is also charged for keys that are not turned in when a mailbox is closed either by the box holder or Tiger Mail.

Students are prohibited from sharing a mailbox. All mail not matching the name printed on JSU mailbox will be returned.

Packages are held for 7 business days and then returned to sender.

Third-Party Deliveries

JSU™ Postal is UNABLE to accept third-party deliveries. If students have a delivery to campus from any food or grocery third-party service, the delivery should be coordinated directly with the delivery service. Using your campus mailing address is prohibited, as we cannot accept them at our postal facilities.

If Amazon or another company notifies you that your package has been delivered, please wait for the Package Notification email from the JSU™ Postal as your package may not have arrived on campus yet.

Thank You.
